Robert F(rancis) Kennedy
(1925 - 1968)
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, brother of John F. and Edward Kennedy, U.S. attorney general and U.S. Senator Robert F. Kennedy managed his brother's campaign for the presidency (1959–60). As attorney general (1961–4), he exerted considerable influence. He won election to the Senate from New York in 1965, and ran in the 1968 presidential election. Kennedy was assassinated by Sirhan Sirhan, a Jordanian immigrant.
